Newton O. Duncan, III, M.D., FACS, FAAP

  

Dr. Newton Duncan is a co-director of the Children's ENT of Houston Center. He received his medical training at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by general surgery internship at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, and otolaryngology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Duncan completed his pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, and the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children in Sydney, Australia.

A Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, Dr. Duncan was chief of service and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency program director at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington in the late 1980s. Following his term of service with the military, Dr. Duncan joined the full-time faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine, where he still maintains a clinical faculty appointment.

He has served on a host of national specialty committees and is a frequent course instructor at the meetings of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He received an Honor Award from the Academy in 1996, he has been selected by his fellow physicians for inclusion among The Best Doctors in America and he has been repeatedly included as one of Houston’s “Top Doctors” by Inside Houston magazine.

Dr. Duncan is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Following his years with Baylor, Dr. Duncan became one of the founding partners of Texas Ear, Nose and Throat Consultants in January 1997.
